Welcome to Coffeehouse Chat, a discussion forum covering topics such as politics, science and technology, society and the environment.  Anyone willing to abide by the ethos of this site is very welcome here, and I hope that you enjoy our community.  This is actually Coffee House Chat 2.0 – the site was briefly closed down in late summer 2009, and I’m now contemplating re-opening later in 2009 or early 2010 if there is renewed interest.

Registration to post to the site is required, but there is no need to register to read the site.

 The site is currently a ‘work in progress’ and I’d welcome any feedback or suggestions, either via email to feedback@coffeehousechat.co.uk or the Coffeehouse Chat Facebook Group.

If you look to the left, you’ll find an entry marked ‘Site News’ on the menu.  This is where I’ll post ongoing information about the day to day functioning of the site. 

There’s also a menu option called ‘The Admin’s Notebook’ which is best decsribed as the trials and tribulations  of the administrator of a startup Internet discussion forum!

Finally, the development of Coffeehoue Chat 2.0 from closure to possible re-open, will be blogged in the Blog section ‘Birth of a Notion’.
